Musing on the Inherent Difficulty in Accurately Specifying the Bust Size of a Large-Breasted OC.
"DeviantArt Limits the Length of Page Titles."
Backstory: Veinctor was trying to pin down Ucogi's bust size as part of a flash-game-in-the-making here: veinctor.deviantart.com/art/Uc… and it occurred to me that there was a problem of units.
I read once that, contrary to popular opinion, the letter part of a cup size does not refer to the actual diameter of the breasts, but rather their relative size to to body. So the same boobs on a proportionally rounder girl would probably only be an E or F. If you were to specify both measurements, say "36H" then you'd have a more meaningful number.
Even then, most USA bramakers disagree on how sizes past D-cup should be labled. Some go D, E, F, G; but others go D, DD, F, FF; and yet others simply go D, DD, DDD, DDDD. Check the wiki: [link]
If you're being informal, it may be easier just to say stuff like "tomatoes" or "watermelons," although phrases like "a handful" "a bucketful" scale up better. ("A sinkful? A swimmingpool full?").
It'd be nice if someone was to come up with a standard unit for anime boobs. I guess we could go by headvolumes, since it's around head size that normal names stop working.
